Presence

During my visit to the stunning Copenhagen Opera House, I was mesmerized by the three large, identical spherical chandeliers hanging in the foyer. Designed by artist Olafur Eliasson, each is formed from two overlapping spirals. Their three-dimensional diamond patterns, made with color-effect filters, reflect different hues depending on the source of light and the viewer’s perspective.

We often say someone “lights up the room” with their presence. These chandeliers do the same: even without their striking reflections, they draw attention and define the space.

What makes someone’s presence memorable?

As you think about how you want others to experience you when you enter a room, what comes to mind? What, if anything, would you change?

Presence is not accidental. If these questions resonate, coaching may be a powerful next step – helping you explore how you want to be experience and how you can align your presence with that intention.
