Teamwork

When I think about the best team I’ve been part of, I immediately recall my time as a coxswain for a lightweight women’s four at The Ohio State University. When we moved in perfect sync, each blade entering and leaving the water together, it felt like a ballet performed without music. We went on to win the NCAA National Championship, making the experience truly unforgettable.
What made this team stand out?
We were committed: if one person didn’t show up, none of us could row.
We were competitive: we pushed ourselves and each other to win.
We were focused: we felt the rhythm and matched the pace together.
That group taught me the true power of teamwork. Together, we could fly across the water at a speed none of us could reach alone. When we lost our rhythm, the ride quickly became rough.
How would you describe your best team experience?
How do you stay in sync to create the greatest impact?
